My original bulb lasted pretty much the 6,000 hours that it was advertised to by Mitsubishi, so kudos to them! Upon replacing the bulb my picture is so clear and precise that the tv picture is as good as it was the first time I plugged it in. In fact, after 2 years of watching the tv with the slowly degrading bulb, I had to lower all my video settings coz they were too high! I love my new, 2 year old 73" DLP HDTV! Thank you Sitlers for the speedy delivery (2 days) and the price ($145 delivered to the door). I could not be happier!!!
UPDATE: Replacement bulb started intermittent flickering (reason for original bulb replacement) within 4 months and I am looking at having to replace it in the immediate future. Its a roll of the dice apparently with the replacement bulb you order.
