(More customer reviews)I admit to a lot of trepidation that I'd buy this part, and wouldn't be able to do the repair myself. However, though the directions in the Sony TV manual seemed confusing and daunting, the process was quite intuitive and ended up being very easy. The part arrived in perfect condition, and the hardest part was removing 3 years of cobwebs and dust from the inside compartment before replacing the part. And, after a year of dimmed light on our screen, it was just like having a new TV when I replaced the lamp! DO NOT BE AFRAID. This is truly a repair that even the most unskilled consumer can make to the Sony Bravia TV. IMPORTANT TIP: be sure to WEAR SOME KIND OF GLOVES (I just used disposable latex surgical gloves) to install.
