(More customer reviews)I bought this product for my two border collie mixs. Both have issues with excitement barking, running up to the fence to bark at the cows, chasing cats, and running away from me.
PROS:
- The price
- Comes with all the batteries
- Does actually work SOMETIMES
CONS:
- Takes awhile for the remote controller to "wake up" from the battery saving sleep mode. This is a problem if the dog just all the sudden starts chasing a cat.
- The remote unit on the dog's collar is pretty bulky and the prongs aren't long enough. For the charge to work, I have to put the collar on tight and it does loosen through out the day.
- FORGET THE 1000 FT RANGE. The range is more like 20 ft if the dog is still. If they are facing away from me, and are at a run, it won't work.
- Already used up the batteries the unit can with and replaced with ones I bought.
- Remote controller unit is made of pretty cheap plastic.
Bottomline: I use it indoors to control their excitment barking and cat chasing.
