(More customer reviews)I toyed with the idea of cheaping out and going with an OEM equivalent lamp, but read to many bad reviews regarding lamp life etc. This is the Sony OEM replacement lamp, and it comes with the replacement filters. A great deal in my book as Vanns had it $50 cheaper than anywhere else. If your going to keep the projector for the forseeable future, buy the Sony lamp. It was the best decision IMO. Replacement was a snap for both the lamp and filter. My old bulb (original) still wasn't dead at 3500 hours of use on the high lamp setting, so I proactively replaced it and am keeping the old lamp as an emergency spare.

The LMP-H160 is a replacement lamp for the VPL-AW15 and VPL-AW10 Home Entertainment Projectors. It is a 1.1mm short arc Ultra High Pressure lamp with compact reflector. The lamp wattage is selectable between 165W and 125W. By making it selectable lower wattage (125W), lamp life may be extended and fan noise will be decreased. Replacement air filters are also provided.
