(More customer reviews)Just received this bulb last night, so I can only comment on my initial experience. First the cons: I was disappointed to see that this is actually a GENERIC bulb (see my photos above), and not actually a Sony product. I purchased this particular item because the item description states that it's a "Sony KDF42WE655 Lamp", implying that this is a SONY product. You can find plenty of other generic bulbs for a much cheaper price, if you don't care about the brand. Also, the package did not come with any installation instructions or paperwork. So, if you do not have the original Sony manual, you may need to look up the instructions online. The pros: The packaging seemed sufficient (again, see my contributed photos). The bulb shipped the day after I ordered through Amazon, and although it said it could take up to 10 days for delivery, it actually arrived only 3 days after I ordered it via FedEx. Again, I've only had the bulb in the television for a day, but the picture quality has improved in brightness and clarity. The original bulb lasted 5 years and 4 months since it's manufacture date... will be interesting to see how long this generic bulb will last in comparison.
