(More customer reviews)I bought this mount for my Microvision Showwx projector and think it is very well built. The only issue I didn't like is that you can only use it attached to a computer. Because it has a Tripod hole, this mount would be excellent to use everytime you use the ShowWx but you cannot because of the VGA Cable. Unless, you modify it. There are special screws that hold the mount together. If you flip over the mount you will see 4 screw holes near the rear of the mount. Two on the mount itself and two on the portion where the plug attaches. These screw are used to hold on the plastic cover where the plug attaches. If you get a small flathead screw driver (for eyeglass repair) it will work at loosening these 4 screws. I saved the screws and put them in the box. With the screws removed, flip the mount right side up and remove the silver plastic cover near where the plug attaches. You should be able to pop out the VGA cable connector and pop in any of the other cables that came with ShowWX. It is literally the same connector. I put the plastic cover back over the connector and use a small strip of electrical tape wrapped around the cable entrance to keep it in place. I am not sure why the manufacturer just didn't make it so you could use different cables in the first place. The mount was pricey enough to be limited just for VGA. Be aware that by removing the screws and popping in a different plug into the dock could be considered "alteration" and void your ninety day warranty on the accessory. This is what I chose to do to use the mount all the time with every cable. If you don't feel like doing that I am sure you can buy and aftermarket mount that will work. Also because the hole is in the back of the mount, it is best to put one leg of the tripod to the front and two to the rear. This prevents the whole unit from falling forward if you are using a mini tripod. Good luck to all the fellow Inspector Gadgets out there.
