I admit I was not happy with the cost of having to replace this lamp, and knowing it cost as much as it did, was a little intimidating when considering I was going to be the one doing the install. But, it was so easy, unscrew a couple of screws, slide the old one out, slide the new one in, and bam.....you are all done, and back watching the big screen. I don't think I would have been brave enough to try replacing just the bulb, from what I read you have to be way to careful. Getting this all in one product was much more to my liking.
