Got this projector for the DLP DarkChip 3 and Faroudja DCDi chipset... was not disappointed. All the reviews I read were right about the PQ... great contrast and upconversion to from 480 to 720p.
Also bought a M1-DA to HDMI converter for 15 bucks, and native HD sources look awesome! I'm projecting onto a 92" screen I made using laminate and Screen Goo. The projector quality is still life like even in ambient light. I'm never going to pay to watch a movie at a theater again.
Was looking at the Optoma HD70 and Mitsubishi HC1500, but I paid a little more for this because of the processing by the Faroudja chip which makes so much difference with clarity of motion... a must for action movies.
