(More customer reviews)This is a lamp from Philips that is an OEM part for my Sony KDF-60XS955. It's also an OEM part for other Sony series televisions so do a thorough internet search to determine the right model for your rear projection television. I ordered this part through J&J International,Inc. they delivered with no probs and the picture above is exactly what I recieved in the mail.
Installation is a cinch, if you're TV was on, wait an hour for it to cool off before performing this installation.
Pull out the front panel directly centered on the TV's screen (KDF-60XS955). Unscrew the plastic safety screw for another plastic panel protecting the lamp housing, slide it to the left to unlock and that's it you're in. Remove that panel. All that you have to do now is unscrew the hex screw on the left with the allen wrench included with your XL2200 lamp, replace your old lamp with the new one and you're virtually done. Secure the new bulb in with the allen wrench, and reinstall the plastic panel with the sliding lock. Slide it to the right to lock, tighten it then put in the outer most panel and youre done! What, 2 parts to remove and then replacing the lamp? Easy.
Stop paying techs hundreds of dollars to do this. The instructions for installation are included with this OEM part, just make sure it is from Philips. I'd definately buy from J&J International,Inc. again.
