(More customer reviews)With any DLP television you know you will need to change your bulb eventually. It's funny because looking at the picture every day you may not notice the gradual dimming around the edges and the loss of contrast but it's happening. I'd say you probably have a life of about 2 years on these bulbs and when you replace that aging one with a new one it's like your TV is new again. I purchased this replacement bulb for my Samsung DLP and it couldn't have been easier to replace. Simply pop the back light box cover off the back of the TV, remove a couple of screws and your old light box will slide right out. This replacement box is made to slide right back into that same space so you literally slide it in, plug in the cable and replace the screws & cover. Takes no more than 5 minutes and that includes walking to the garage to get the screwdriver.
