(More customer reviews)It all started when my television would just shut off with no warning. You could turn it back on and it would work fine for a long while and then unexpectedly shut off again. After a month or two it just shut off and the lights on the front panel started blinking. I dreaded the idea of paying to have it repaired, but a read of the manual seemed to indicate the lamp just needed to be replaced. I found a replacement on Amazon and it arrived in a timely fashion. I was very pleased at how straight forward the replacement was. I was careful to follow the instructions in the manual (Be sure to wear gloves. Fingerprints and oil from your hands could cause the lamp to fail). It all went smoothly, and within minutes I was watching television again. It's been about a month since I installed it and have not had the slightest problem.
