(More customer reviews)My lamp failed on Monday night, 6 days before the Super Bowl. I ordered a lamp that night with expedited shipping. The lamp was supplied and shipped by River Valley Electronics and arrived on Wednesday. It was packaged so well I think it could have been dropped from the truck (and maybe the plane) and not have broken.
I would recommend you not buy the lamp but get the lamp with the housing. This was a mistake on my part. I can only account for this by panic on my part by the thought of not having a working TV for the Super Bowl.
Strange as it may seem the lamp with housing costs less than just the lamp and it is a lot less work to install. If you replace just the lamp you run the risk of breaking or damaging the lamp when you install it. The lamp does not come with install instructions that guide you through the disassembly of the housing so you can swap the lamps. But, RVE had instructions on their web site that were adequate for me to get the job done.
