(More customer reviews)I happened across this projector at Amazon, selling for Tigerdirect, and it was at a reduced price, about $370. For the price the projector can't be beat. It is almost HD quality and is really bright. I have it on standard or eco mode and have put it on the movie setting which dims it further, and it is still really bright. It projects well onto a wall and is easy to use. It comes with a carrying case which is nicely padded and comes with all the cables you need, though I bought a set of 25" cables from amazon (all about $12) so I can run it through the attic. Both the VGA and DVI ports work well and I've been running at the 1280 by 768 on both my computer and my XBOX360. The clarity is good, though the darks aren't as good as other projectors the Optoma HD66 has 4000:1 contrast vs this one which is 2200:1). HD games played well, maybe a bit of blurring, but very playable, and DVD quality movies look very crisp. The bulbs can be found for $180 to $200 which is normal. So overall, if you can find this for a cheaper price, you've struck gold, but for anywhere near $600 you might as well get the HD66 as it's native is 1280 by 720 (720p), has 4000:1 contrast, and the lumens are 2500, which is more like what I am running on the EP761 because 3200 is bright so I put it in standard brightness. You can go to camelcamelcamel.com to get the price tracker from amazon (neat tool). It looks like I happened upon a great deal, but considering this is an aging unit with no HDMI (but you can buy HDMI to DVI cables for cheap here at amazon) and not true HD, I wouldn't be surprised to see it drop again.
