(More customer reviews)While I am pretty sure that this is going to provide the protection that I need, they completely lost track of the end user in the design of this module. I was almost shocked to open the package and see that the cat5 lies where permanently hard-wired in and both of them are 5 foot. Not I am ataching this to a Panamax PM8-GAV which has a 6 foot power cord and my power comes out of a wall outlet as well as my cat5. So now I am down to being able to move the entertainment center 5 foot from the wall due the shorter permanent cat5 cable in the adapter. And then there is the component end where I am desperately trying to downsize th wiring, I only need about 24 inches but instead, I have to tie up this overly large cable and have all of that hanging in my way. Last but certainly not least. I have to deal with those cables thru-out the mouning process. Whey oh why did you not just wire in a cat5 jack????????????????????? I suppose I will end un dismantling the device, removing the cat5 cables and replacing them with the proper lengths for my application. All because Panamx over-engineerd this piece.
